The Log House was thrilled to cultivate this relationship with Elembee many years ago when we learned that the owner’s grandmother had graduated from Berea College in 1954.

Mabel Stout Harvey graduated from Berea College with a degree in biology. In 1953, Mabel won a Singer sewing machine for “excellence in finishing of woven materials” in her labor position in the weaving department.
